Access Holdings redefines growth through value at scale

Access Holdings Plc has announced a shift in its strategy, moving away from expansion-driven growth to a stronger emphasis on efficiency, returns, and long-term value creation.

The group’s 2025 results show steady performance, with gross earnings rising by 13.3% to N5.53 trillion and profit before tax increasing by 16.2% to about N1.007 trillion.

According to Group CEO Innocent C. Ike, the company has now largely completed its expansion phase and is entering a new stage focused on maximising the value of its scale.

He said, “Over the last decade, we deliberately built scale across markets and segments. That phase has largely been achieved,” adding, “Our focus now is on converting that scale into consistent, high-quality value for our shareholders.”

He further noted that “In today’s environment, size alone is no longer a competitive advantage,” stressing that the real priority is translating scale into returns, resilience, and sustainable value.

The company says its next phase will prioritise disciplined capital allocation, cost efficiency, and improved performance across all business segments, with the aim of making its existing platform deliver stronger results.
