Dollar to Naira exchange rate today, June 17, 2026

The naira recorded slight variations against the United States dollar across foreign exchange market segments on 17 June 2026.

At the Lagos parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market, Bureau De Change operators sold the dollar at ₦1,400 and bought it at ₦1,390 on Tuesday.

The exchange rate reflects transactions within the informal foreign exchange market, where traders determine rates based on demand and supply conditions.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise the parallel market and has consistently advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to conduct transactions through authorised financial institutions.

According to available market data, the dollar traded within a range of ₦1,355 to ₦1,359 at the official market window.

Exchange rates recorded were as follows:

Dollar to Naira (Parallel Market)
Selling rate: ₦1,400
Buying rate: ₦1,390

Dollar to Naira (Official Market)
Highest rate: ₦1,359
Lowest rate: ₦1,355
