Goods worth millions of naira were destroyed in a fire outbreak that ravaged a shop in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Oja-Igbo, behind Soun Palace in Ogbomoso.
Confirming the development in a statement on Sunday, the Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Maroof Akinwande, stated that the agency was informed immediately after the fire incident. He added the firemen were quickly deployed to the scene and were able to contain the fire to prevent it from spreading to other shops.
The fire slightly affected one shop out of a row of 15 shops. Therefore, the agency was able to save properties worth millions of naira,” he said.
