The naira appreciated on Wednesday, trading at N1,615 per dollar in the parallel market, an improvement from N1,620 per dollar recorded the previous day.
In the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), the currency also gained value, rising to N1,583 per dollar.
According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the official exchange rate improved by N5.5, from N1,588.5 per dollar on Tuesday to N1,583 per dollar on Wednesday.
As a result, the gap between the parallel market and official exchange rates widened slightly to N32 per dollar, up from N31.5 per dollar the previous day.
