Actor Clems Ohameze debunks health, family abandonment rumours, threatens legal action

Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has moved against a Facebook user, identified as Okwulora, for circulating false claims about his health and family.

The user alleged that the actor had suffered a stroke and was neglected by his sons, leaving his daughter to care for him.

Ohameze, however, debunked the story in a social media post, clarifying that he never granted such an interview and further stressing that he does not even have three sons, as claimed.

In a tearful video, the actor expressed frustration over the constant circulation of false news about his health, which has caused unnecessary distress to his family.

He stated that legal actions have been taken against Okwulora, emphasising the damage caused by the false allegations and his determination to protect his reputation.

“I called my friend who is a director in the DSS and I have initiated a police case, this is a cybercrime. If you want cheap popularity go get it somewhere else because I will not allow some idiot tarnish my image because you want to attract traffic to your page.

“The other time, it was that I was dead, now it is that I had a stroke, but who did I grant the interview to? Do I have three sons? What nonsense is this?

“I believe he is satisfied. I had to call my children, and fortunately, it was only my daughter who heard about it. Why would people do this to me?” he said.
