Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has publicly defended her mother amid ongoing controversies surrounding the actress.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Priscilla claimed there appears to be a pattern aimed at disrupting Iyabo’s plans, especially her upcoming movie, The Return of Arinzo. However, she expressed confidence that divine support would see her through.
She added that Iyabo is often misunderstood and unfairly blamed, noting that critics tend to twist her words whether she chooses to speak out or remain silent.
Priscilla Ojo reassured her mother, Iyabo Ojo, of her unwavering support, alongside that of her fans, while encouraging her to stay true to herself.
She also expressed confidence that the film would be a success, pointing to the strong turnout at its premiere as a reflection of Iyabo’s character and the level of public support she enjoys.
“Always misunderstood, always blamed!! Even when she’s not the one in the mix. Since Arinzo’s announcement, can’t you see the pattern? A lot of drama back-to-back, just for one aim: ruin her plans, but God’s stronger than man. And this movie will sell in Jesus’ name!
“When she’s quiet, they twist the story. When she speaks the truth, they get angry and still twist the story.
“All in all, a good heart will always win. The return of Arinzo is already a masterpiece, and no matter how they gather, if the gathering isn’t of God, they’ll fail. Didn’t you see the magnitude of people who showed up for the movie premiere? If she were a bad person, do you think people would show up and support her? Exactly, that shows how she shows up and supports people.
Lastly, if you look at everything clearly, you’ll see that most of the time she gets dragged is because she’s always fighting people’s battles offline + online, but when it’s time for them to fight for her, what happens is they go mute. Hmmm life.
