Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay Idibia has reacted to reports suggesting that she and her estranged husband, music star Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, may have reconciled after a video of them dancing closely at a club surfaced online.
The video, which went viral last week, sparked discussions on social media, with many users questioning whether the footage was recent and if it indicated that the former couple had rekindled their relationship.
However, in a post shared on her Instagram Story on Monday, Annie dismissed the speculation, describing the video as outdated and the reports surrounding it as false.
“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote.
Annie and 2Baba got married in May 2012 and have two children together — Isabella and Olivia.
Their separation became public in January 2025 after 2Baba announced that they had parted ways, bringing an end to their 13-year marriage.
Following the split, the singer began a relationship with Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
2Baba confirmed his relationship with Natasha, proposed to her in February 2025, and later married her in a private ceremony in July 2025.
The singer has repeatedly stated that his relationship with Natasha was not responsible for the breakdown of his marriage to Annie.
Annie also confirmed their separation in April 2025. During the 17th edition of The Headies, she introduced herself using her maiden name and announced that she was single while presenting an award.
