Any Igbo man criticising another for supporting Tinubu is a coward — Yul Edochie

The Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has described any Igbo individual who criticises others from the same ethnic group for supporting President Bola Tinubu as a “coward”.

In a post shared on X, the actor argued that such criticism is selective, noting that those involved often fail to challenge supporters of the president from other regions or hold past leaders accountable.

He accused them of lacking the courage to confront people outside their ethnic group while targeting their own.

“Any Igbo man who is dragging his fellow Igbo man for supporting President Tinubu is a coward. Show me a video of you dragging Yorubas who are supporting Tinubu,” he wrote.

“Show me a video of you dragging Northerners who are supporting Tinubu. Show me a video of you dragging all the past leaders who couldn’t fix Nigeria.

“Show me a video of you dragging Northern celebrities that support Tinubu. None. You don’t have liver to do it.

“But when it’s your Igbo brother you’ll rush and set ring light to drag him.. Shame on you.”

Edochie is known for his strong support for Tinubu, having previously declared himself an “Asiwaju baby” in 2023.

During the nationwide protests held between August 1 and 10, 2024 over economic hardship and rising living costs, he urged Nigerians to remain patient, expressing confidence that the administration would address the challenges.
