The former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar, was among notable guests at the white wedding of former BBNaija housemate Cross and his partner, Chinonso Onyebuchi.
The couple held a lavish ceremony in Abuja on Saturday, attended by family members, friends, and well-wishers.
Atiku, who graced the event, later took to X to congratulate the couple, referring to Cross as his “godson” and offering prayers for their union.
“Yesterday, upon my arrival from Ibadan after the National Opposition Summit, I proceeded directly to the wedding of my godson, Cross Okonkwo @crossdabossike, and Chinonso Okonkwo, here in Abuja. The occasion provided yet another opportunity to reflect the strong bond between our families. I wish the couple a very happy and fulfilling married life,” he wrote.
Several BBNaija alumni were also present at the ceremony, including Neo Akpofure, Saga, Maria Benjamin, Liquorose, Erica Nlewedim, Sheggz, Mercy Eke, and Ilebaye Odinaya.
The couple’s journey to marriage began with their engagement last year, followed by a traditional wedding in January and a civil ceremony in February at the Ikoyi registry.
Cross, whose real name is Ikechukwu Okonkwo, rose to fame during the 2021 BBNaija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition and later returned for the ‘All Stars’ season in 2023, where he finished as the fifth runner-up.
