The winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10, Imisi, has shared a heartbreaking experience that occurred shortly before her journey into the reality show.
During an interview on TVC Entertainment, Imisi revealed that she lost her baby in April, less than a month before registering for the BBNaija auditions.
Describing the experience as “overwhelming,” the reality star admitted that carrying such grief into the house was an emotional challenge. She, however, chose not to discuss the matter further, saying, “I do not want to talk about it.”
“It was this year in April. It was not even up to a month before I auditioned for Big Brother. The whole thing was so overwhelming for me. I do not want to talk about it,” she said.
Imisi also disclosed that she had ended her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Hakeem, just weeks before the audition. Though she did not reveal the reason for their breakup, she described it as “hectic,” adding that she joined the show still processing the heartbreak.
Referring to Hakeem as her “safe place,” Imisi explained that their closeness deeply influenced her personality and how she portrayed herself on social media, tailoring her image to suit his preferences.
Born Opeyemi Ayanwale, Imisi was crowned winner of BBNaija Season 10 on October 5, emerging victorious from a pool of 29 housemates. She took home the grand prize of N80 million and a brand-new SUV.
