Blessing CEO sparks drama with fake breakup announcement, confirms engagement to IVD

Controversial relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, caused a buzz online after announcing the end of her engagement to auto-dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD).

In an Instagram post, she shared a video of herself and IVD shaking hands, hinting at an amicable separation, stating she planned to dispose of the engagement ring and cover the tattoo of his name on her neck. The announcement shocked fans, especially considering their highly publicised romance that began trending in 2023 when she revealed IVD as her partner after he tattooed her face on his arm.

However, just hours later, Blessing admitted the breakup announcement was a deliberate publicity stunt. She said it was a strategy to test her ability to command attention and maintain relevance in the media space.

“I was losing my touch of controversy. Decided to test it again. I still got the magic. No be Blessingceo again. Boom. Boo boo for life. They love bad news ooooooo. Wedding loading,” she wrote.

She confirmed that she and IVD had reconciled and hinted that wedding preparations were still ongoing, even revealing that the traditional wedding attire for guests (asoebi) was ready. She issued a playful apology to bloggers for the distraction, thanking them for keeping her trending.

Their engagement, which became public in April 2025, has continued to generate conversations, especially with IVD’s lingering controversies, including his 2022 link to the death of his ex-wife Bimbo Ogbonna, and his August 2025 arrest over domestic violence allegations.
