Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has been selected as the headline performer for the halftime show of the 2026 NFL Paris Game.
The “Ye” crooner is scheduled to perform during the clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 25, at the Stade de France in Paris.
The game is set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. Central European Summer Time (9:30 a.m. ET), with Burna Boy’s performance forming part of the National Football League’s international games programme for the 2026 season.
According to the NFL, the Paris show is one of seven halftime performances planned across its 2026 International Games, with the events taking place in seven countries across four continents.
Reacting to the announcement, Burna Boy said his return to the Stade de France for the NFL event was particularly meaningful following his previous performance at the venue.
“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything,” he said.
The singer said the NFL’s first game in France would be a historic event and expressed pride in representing African music on an international stage.
“The NFL is bringing something to France that has never happened here before, and I get to stand in the middle of it representing African music and I intend to give the people a show they will not forget,” Burna Boy said.
Burna Boy performed at the same venue last year, becoming the first African artist to headline a solo concert there, with the event attracting a sold-out crowd of more than 80,000 people.
Meanwhile, the NFL’s Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment, Tim Tubito, described Burna Boy as an appropriate choice for the league’s inaugural game in France.
“The first NFL game in France deserves a halftime moment that matches the occasion, and there is no artist better suited to it than Burna Boy,” Tubito said.
Tubito also pointed to Burna Boy’s previous performance at the Stade de France and his influence on African music, saying his return to the venue would bring added significance to the landmark NFL event.
