Nollywood actress Chita Agwu has announced the end of her marriage to Johnson Maduabuchi after 11 years together, revealing that their union has been formally dissolved by a court.
Agwu shared the news on Instagram on Monday, explaining that she was ready to move forward and begin a fresh chapter of her life.
“After much thought and a journey that has been deeply personal, I wish to officially inform the public that my marriage has been legally dissolved by the court,” she stated.
The actress said she was choosing to embrace the next phase of her life with dignity and a positive outlook.
She also acknowledged that some marriages do not turn out as expected, urging people to allow those involved to move on without being subjected to public criticism or embarrassment.
“Out of respect for everyone involved, I will not be sharing private details or engaging in public discussions about the circumstances surrounding my divorce,” she said.
Agwu further appealed to the public to respect the privacy of both parties rather than speculate about the reasons behind the separation.
Expressing appreciation to those who had supported her, the actress said she was prioritising her healing and personal growth as she looked ahead.
“My marriage has ended, but my life continues. I move forward with my head held high, my dignity intact, and my heart open to the future,” she added.
