Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has refuted speculation suggesting trouble in her marriage to businessman.
The actress addressed the claims on her Instagram page on Wednesday, maintaining that her union with Churchill remains solid. Rumours had surfaced after social media users noticed that she appeared to have unfollowed her husband on the platform.
The speculation intensified shortly after Churchill travelled to Lagos to celebrate his son’s 10th birthday — a child from his previous marriage to actress . The timing led to online assumptions that there might be tension between the couple.
Responding through a series of posts, Meurer shared evidence showing that her Instagram connection with Churchill dates back to 2017, years before their marriage. She insisted she neither unfollowed him nor plans to do so.
“I have no reason to unfollow my husband. Thank you very much. And I did not unfollow my husband. I do not know what technical issue. I do not know what games anyone is playing somewhere on the ground,” she said.
“I am not that petty. And I have never unfollowed my husband, and I never will. So, you guys are going to wait for a very long time. If I do eventually unfollow him, you will be the first to know.”
She further reaffirmed her contentment in the relationship, stating, “I am in this marriage because I want to be in this marriage. I am being treated well. I am happy. If my husband is okay with me, I do not have a problem”.
Meurer also responded to claims linking her to Dikeh. Churchill and Dikeh’s marriage, which began in 2015, ended in 2017 amid public controversy, followed by years of online exchanges.
Dismissing the speculation, Meurer clarified that she was never friends with Dikeh and had no involvement in the collapse of their marriage.
“I just want to tell you guys one thing, I was never my husband’s ex’s friend. Not to talk about the best friend. I have never met her,” she added.
“I have never seen her. She does not have my number. I do not have her number. She is about eight to nine years older than I am. I have read comments in which people have told me that I was her best friend. Or, she introduced me to her husband, and I snatched him.”
Since Churchill and Dikeh’s separation, both parties have engaged in public disagreements on social media, including a heated exchange in 2020.
Churchill publicly introduced Meurer, his former personal assistant, as his wife in 2021. They welcomed their first child in March 2021 and their second in October 2022. In 2023, Churchill also dismissed claims of marital issues.
Recently, Dikeh disclosed that she and Churchill have “buried the hatchet,” signalling an end to their long-running public dispute.
