The national leadership of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has reaffirmed that Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, remains the Movement’s Director in Imo State.
This clarification was made in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by the CBM Director-General, Francis Shoga.
Shoga dismissed reports alleging an internal move to reconsider or change Cubana Chief Priest’s appointment, describing such claims as misleading and inaccurate.
He stressed that the only officially recognised and properly appointed representative in Imo is Mr Paschal Okechukwu, noting that no fresh appointment has been made or approved beyond that.
He further stated that any claims of parallel leadership, withdrawal of appointments, or internal disputes do not represent the official stance of the movement.
According to him, the CBM follows clearly established procedures and due process in handling appointments and coordinating activities at the state level.
Shoga added that any formal decision would always be conveyed through authorised communication channels.
“The City Boy Movement remains a structured and disciplined organisation. Any ambiguity arising from recent correspondence is a ploy to discredit the integrity of the group.
“All our members remain united under a common objective of strengthening grassroots mobilisation and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
”Our focus remains unwavering; mobilising support, consolidating grassroots structures, and delivering on our mandate in support of President Bola Tinubu’s vision for national development,” he said.
He therefore called on members and the public to ignore unverified reports capable of creating confusion within the organisation, while reiterating the movement’s commitment to unity, transparency, and discipline across all states.
