Davido withdraws from 50 Cent London Concert

Global music star Davido has officially withdrawn from 50 Cent’s much-anticipated concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 3, where he was due to perform alongside hip-hop icon 50 Cent and R&B legend Mary J. Blige.

Davido made the announcement via his Instagram story, clarifying that the decision was not due to poor ticket sales or lack of support, but rather a matter of artistic principle.

“This decision is not a reflection of turnout or support; it is a matter of principle and respect for my craft, my fans, and the culture I represent,” he said.

He explained that despite full commitment to the event and close collaboration with The Necto Future Group, promoters of IconicPresents, ongoing issues with the event’s execution led to his withdrawal.

“Over the past few weeks, I have extended my full support and professionalism… with the sincere intention of delivering a performance that meets the high standards my fans deserve,” he wrote.

He cited unresolved “major misalignments” in key elements affecting the integrity and quality of his performance, prompting his decision to pull out.

Davido reassured fans that his remaining summer tour dates would go ahead as planned.

“London, I’ll see you guys soon, I promise! The rest of the shows this summer are still happening… See you guys in Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Canada, and the US! Africa must be respected,” he added.
