Nigerian filmmaker and actor Femi Adebayo has unveiled the release date for his much-anticipated epic sequel, Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors.
Adebayo, who produced the blockbuster, shared the announcement on his official Instagram page, confirming that the film will be available exclusively on Netflix.
He wrote: “Even in his absence, his name remained a curse whispered behind closed doors. Some men are made by war. Others are the reason kingdoms learn to fear it. JAGUN JAGUN 2: WAR OF WARRIORS. ONLY ON NETFLIX DECEMBER 4, 2026.”
The sequel arrives two years after the first instalment, “Jagun Jagun: The Warrior,” which premiered on Netflix in August 2023 and became an instant hit.
The original film, produced by Adebayo and directed by Tope Adebayo Salami and Adebayo Tijani, follows Gbotija, a young man who joins the army of the feared warlord Ogundiji in a quest to become a great warrior.
The film featured stars such as Lateef Adedimeji, Odunlade Adekola, Bukunmi Oluwasina, Bimbo Ademoye, Faithia Williams, and Mr Macaroni, and won Best Indigenous Language Movie (West Africa) and Best Costume Design at the 2024 AMVCA.
While Adebayo confirmed December 4, 2026, as the sequel’s premiere date, the full plot details and returning cast have yet to be officially unveiled.
