Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has unveiled her latest movie project, The Four, which is set to be the next major production from her creative network.
The award-winning filmmaker announced the film’s premiere date in a statement issued on Monday.
The Four is an emotionally driven drama centred on friendship, motherhood, resilience and the strength of everyday women.
Set across Odu community and the city, the film tells the story of Esosa and her three devoted friends as they strive to secure the future of a young man close to their hearts. Their journey puts their courage, faith and loyalty to the test.
The cast includes Akindele alongside Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan, and Wunmi Toriola.
Award-winning singer Waje and Afrobeats artiste Shoday also make appearances, alongside entertainment personalities Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho, and Ayomide Iwasokun.
The Four is scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide on December 11, 2026.
