Nigerian singer Asake has submitted four entries for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, according to an announcement by his record label, Giran Republik.
The submissions feature his album, M$NEY, as well as collaborations with Wizkid and DJ Snake. They cover multiple categories, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best African Music Performance.
Asake’s album, M$NEY, has been submitted for consideration in the Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album categories.
‘Jogodo,’ his collaboration with Grammy winner Wizkid, is listed in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category, while ‘Gratitude’ is being considered for ‘Record of the Year,’ ‘Song of the Year,’ and ‘Best African Music Performance’.
‘Worship,’ his collaboration with French DJ and record producer DJ Snake, has been listed for ‘Best Dance Pop Recording’.
According to the Recording Academy, first-round voting for the 69th Grammy Awards is scheduled to run from October 12 to 22, with nominees set to be announced on November 16.
The main award ceremony will take place on February 7, 2027, in Los Angeles.
Asake has previously received two Grammy nominations, both in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category.
He was nominated in 2024 for ‘Amapiano’, his collaboration with Olamide, and in 2025 for ‘MMS’, his collaboration with Wizkid. He, however, lost in both categories.
Asake launched Giran Republik in February 2025, signalling his departure from YBNL Nation, the record label owned by rapper Olamide.
