The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has instructed all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to submit their valid international passports on or before August 7 to enable the processing of their travel documents.
The directive was issued by the board’s Director-General, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, in a statement released on Tuesday in Kano by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Dederi.
“The submission commenced on Aug. 3 to enable the board to begin documentation and other administrative processes required for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
“Early submission of passports is necessary to ensure the timely processing of travel documents and compliance with deadlines set by the relevant authorities,” Ibrahim-Matawalle said.
He urged all registered intending pilgrims to submit their passports within the stipulated period to avoid delays in processing their Hajj documentation.
The director-general reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and hitch-free Hajj operation.
He appealed to pilgrims to cooperate with the board throughout the preparation process.
