Prominent Nigerian Zion gospel musician Lekan Remilekun has revealed that his father has been missing for 26 years.
Lekan Remilekun made the revelation during a recent interview on the Talk to B podcast.
Speaking about the incident, the gospel singer said his father, Remilekun Amos, a legendary gospel musician, went missing in November 2000 after travelling to Akure, the Ondo State capital, for a gospel ministration.
Expressing his pain, the singer in the heartbreaking video said his children have been asking him to tell them about their grandfather.
“My father, Remilekun Amos, was declared missing when he went for that missionary journey in November 2000, and that was the end.
“He was invited to Akure. A Yoruba proverb says “omo eni ku, o San ju omo eni sonu lo” meaning (a dead child is better than a missing or lost child). 26 years counting now. My children are asking me to tell them about grandpa. No one can feel the pain more than the victim, which is me,” he said.
