Singer Spyro has shared the story of how he met his partner, Janet Atom, revealing that their relationship started after they crossed paths at a nightclub where she was working.
Speaking in a recent interview, the singer explained that Janet was at the club in a professional capacity rather than for entertainment.
He added that his account was not intended to criticise nightlife or clubbing, but noted that meeting her while she was on duty was what first caught his attention.
According to Spyro, his curiosity about why she worked at the club led him to start a conversation with her.
Spyro noted that the conversation grew into a friendship that deepened over time.
He added that during that friendship, he realised she had the qualities he sought in a life partner.
The singer further stated that marriage was not on his mind when they first met.
However, as he got to know her better, his perspective changed and he decided to pursue the relationship seriously so as not to lose her.
“I met her working in the club, not partying in the club, but that’s not to say that partying is wrong. But she was working there and that’s how I got to notice her. I was curious to know why she was there and why she was working at the club, and that was what made me have my first conversation with her.
“We got talking and we became friends. The one day my eyes popped up and I was like ‘Oh what I have been looking for was right in front of me.’ because I wasn’t really thinking of making it a lifetime thing, so I said before I quickly miss it, lemme swing into action…” he said.
