Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has addressed the criticism he has been receiving over his romantic roles with married female colleagues, particularly Bambam, his on-screen love interest in Love In Every Word.
Speaking in a recent interview with BBC Igbo, Uzor Arukwe revealed that he always seeks the consent of his female colleagues, especially those who are married, before touching them “in a certain way” during film shoots.
He explained that he does this to ensure his married colleagues do not face issues in their marriages because of the roles they play in movies.
“Before filming, I ask my co-lead actor if it is okay to touch them in a certain way, especially the married ones because I don’t want them to have problems at home,” the actor explained.
He specifically noted that he had never met Bambam nor had any prior relationship with her before they worked together on their first movie.
