Actress, brand influencer, and entrepreneur Tomike Adeoye has stated that while she is warm and easy to relate with, she does not condone people taking advantage of her kindness.
Tomike Adeoye made the remark while speaking on the Living Boldly with Queen Martins podcast, where she opened up about her career journey, her personality, and how she manages to balance her various interests.
The media personality, who studied Microbiology, said she chose not to confine herself to a single career path despite the pressure many people face to focus on just one profession.
“In this age and time people will want to tell you just focus on one thing. I remember we met on TV I was that small girl who was fresh out of studying microbiology literally. I could have decided to just focus on the microbiology but I knew that there was more to me. I love talking so I always wanted to be on TV and all of that,” she said.
She also noted that her friendly nature often makes people assume she is overly easygoing, but she emphasised that she keeps clear boundaries in both her personal and professional life.
“I don’t like people taking me for granted and so there are times I go crazy in the store because I see that they are beginning to relax ‘Are you people okay’? Literally in everything that I do as much as I can be friendly and smile a lot, I notice that at times people tend to take that for granted. But the truth is I am also a no nonsense person,” she added.
