Nigerian actress Omowunmi Ajiboye has addressed the nature of her relationship with actor Segun Ogungbe.
Although the two share two children, which has fueled assumptions that they were a couple, Ajiboye clarified in an interview with Oyinmomo TV that Ogungbe is the father of her child but was never her husband.
She emphasized that they were neither engaged nor married, and he never met her family in any formal marital context.
Ajiboye also appealed to the public to stop criticizing her, stating that she did not ruin Ogungbe’s life and that both have since moved on with different partners.
“We just have kids together, we were never engaged or married. He doesn’t know any of my family member except for my sibling that stays in Lagos,” she said.
“To my fans, I beg you, please take it easy with me. I’m not a bad person, and I didn’t destroy Segun Ogungbe’s life.
“When I was in his life, things were good. And now that I’m not, his life is still going well. So please, let me live and enjoy my life. I have my boyfriend and he has his wife.”
She disclosed that they are on good terms and can still work together, but with certain limits, adding that they have an upcoming cinema film they co-produced.
“I don’t have any issue with him, we can work together at any time, but there is a limit. In fact, we have an upcoming cinema movie we produced together.”
