Relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has expressed deep grief over the death of her nine-year-old son, Bryan, admitting that the pain of losing him may be one she never gets over.
In an emotional tribute posted on her Instagram page on Sunday, Blessing reflected on the heartbreak of losing her child and the promises she was unable to fulfil before his passing.
“I will keep living in denial. I miss you. I bought the iPad I promised you, and also the bicycle,” she wrote.
“This is how I will forever remember you.”
The influencer said she believes her son is in heaven and vowed to preserve his memory.
“I know you are in Heaven, but I promise to carry your memories everywhere I go. I miss you, my baby; I will never recover from this shock. Rest on my guardian angel,” she added.
The post came days after Blessing opened up about Bryan’s death in an interview following her release from custody after months in detention.
She disclosed that Bryan had chronic asthma from birth and had been in and out of hospital, adding that she was informed while in custody that he was using two inhalers.
She said she was told he died at about 6:30 a.m. on a Monday in the hospital.
Blessing further revealed that Bryan had a dream about his own death before passing on June 8, which he shared with family members.
“When my son was alive, he dreamt that he died. He told his brother Darell and my sister Precious, who prayed for him. He also told my Dad, but he never told me,” she said.
Blessing CEO was released on bail on October 24 after spending months at Kirikiri Prison over separate fraud allegations.
