Nollywood actress Oluebube Obio has alleged that she was compelled to attend an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign event, expressing concerns over her safety and saying her life was not guaranteed.
Oluebube made the claim after coming under criticism over videos showing her at the campaign venue, with some Nigerians questioning her presence at the political gathering.
Reacting to the backlash in a social media post, the actress said there was more to her appearance at the event than what was publicly seen, alleging that she was being blackmailed.
She added that she would reveal the identities of those allegedly behind the blackmail at the appropriate time, while urging her supporters to keep her in their prayers.
Oluebube wrote: “I was actually forced to be in such settings, my life and safety is not guaranteed, if you watch the video closely, I myself felt so much discomfort and stressed up
“When the time is right I will expose the people blackmailing me, the least you can do is to pray for me.”
The actress did not disclose the identities of those she accused of forcing or blackmailing her, and she provided no further details about the circumstances surrounding her appearance at the APC campaign.
