Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has disclosed that she is now a mother of three, introducing her daughter to the public and describing the child as an “answered prayer”.
In a birthday post shared on Instagram, the actress revealed that she and her partner deliberately kept news of their daughter’s birth away from the public for more than two years.
Known for keeping her private life out of the spotlight, Adunni did not reveal the identity of her partner.
She explained that the decision was made to allow the family enjoy the experience away from public attention and scrutiny.
“Today, on my birthday, I’m finally sharing what we’ve protected for over two years,” she wrote while sharing photos from her pregnancy and an image showing her daughter’s hand.
“This wasn’t an easy journey. It came with silent battles, moments that tested me, and a strength I had to grow into.
“While the world saw one version of me, I was living something much deeper, much more personal.”
The actress noted that not every life experience needs to be shared publicly, adding that privacy enabled her family to cherish the blessing peacefully.
“Not every single mother fits your assumptions. Not every story is scandal. Not every blessing comes with drama attached,” she said.
“God gave me mine. Fully. Peacefully. Intentionally. Not ‘another woman’s man’, all in the name of clicks.
“A journey of almost a decade! Almighty blessed us with our first child together. Our baby girl, our answered prayer, my evidence that God still writes beautiful stories in His own time.”
Referring to the child as Baby Sal, Adunni expressed appreciation to family, friends and supporters who stood by her with love and prayers over the years.
“P.S. No single home is or was broken in the making of our Baby Sal. It’s always love,” she added.
Born to a Nigerian father and an American mother, Adunni is also mother to two sons, Ayden Young and D’marion Young, from a previous relationship.
In 2017, the actress clarified that she was never married to the father of her two older children, explaining that she ended their eight-year relationship because it was “never going to work out”.
