Actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has captured the hearts of many with a touching message in celebration of her second son, Zekiah, who just turned one.
Posting on Instagram, Adesua expressed deep gratitude to God and offered heartfelt prayers for her son, calling him a testament to divine faithfulness and a source of laughter in their home.
“We can’t believe today is your first birthday, Zekiah. We are all deeply in love with you, our strong-willed baby, our sunshine, our bundle of joy with a PhD in facial expressions,” she wrote.
“You are evidence of God’s faithfulness. He is indeed a promise keeper. You are so beautiful and have brought so much joy and laughter into our home. You are proof that God still answers prayers… but also steals your sleep. Proof that one can rule the house with maximum authority and two teeth.”
“How did we get so blessed? How is this beautiful life ours? Hezekiah Oluwadarasimi, just like your name means ‘Yahweh strengthens’ and ‘God is good to me,’ we declare over your life that Yahweh will always strengthen you and be good to you. You will shine everywhere you go… Your life will be a series of tangible, indisputable evidence that Jesus is alive and God is good. Happy birthday, Kai Kai. Have an amazing life, in Jesus name, Amen.”
She also shared snippets of her postpartum experience, acknowledging how intense and humbling the journey was, highlighting moments like losing hair and navigating the emotional weight of motherhood.
Previously, she had opened up about her tough recovery after childbirth—from undergoing an emergency C-section to enduring restless nights, continuous bleeding, and the physical strain of nursing. Still, she affirmed she would “do it all again” for her children.
Adesua has also been vocal about her battle with hyperemesis gravidarum, revealing how her husband, Banky W, her medical team, and family played a vital role in her recovery. She further reflected on 2024 being a challenging year, marked by her hospitalization, surgery, and supporting her husband through his own health battle, yet she continues to radiate faith and gratitude, seeing her children as undeniable proof of God’s goodness.
