Afrobeats superstar Davido and his partner Chioma Rowland have officially celebrated their white wedding in Miami, Florida, with a lavish ceremony.
The highly-publicized event took place at the upscale Mana Wynwood Convention Center. It was attended by a distinguished list of Nigerian celebrities, business leaders, and political figures.
Davido made a grand entrance in a custom white Lamborghini Revuelto, a personal gift to himself. Chioma arrived in a luxurious white Rolls Royce, her face gracefully veiled as she walked down the aisle.
Davido, dressed in a sleek brown tuxedo, was joined by guests in cheering, while Chioma looked stunning in her traditional white wedding gown. The wedding party featured prominent figures from Nigerian entertainment and business, including Davido’s manager Asa Asika, his cousin B-Red, talent manager Ubi Franklin, and UFC champion Kamaru Usman.
Among the notable guests were socialite Obi Cubana, Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, and former Senate President Bukola Saraki. Other attendees included businessman Ikuku Michael, singers Teni, Stoneboy, and Zlatan Ibile, and US actor Djimon Hounsou. Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, also led a large group of high-profile guests.
The ceremony was officiated by three clergymen: Joseph Adebisi Ola, a retired president of the Seventh Day Adventist, Nigeria Union Mission, Maryland, Lagos; Tunde Ojewole, senior pastor of Lane Region Conference of Seventh Day Adventist, Indianapolis; and David Olubukola Ajide, senior pastor, Victory Sanctuary, Seventh Day Adventist, Lekki, Lagos.
The couple’s journey to marriage has faced various challenges. Davido first proposed to Chioma in 2019, but their relationship hit a rough patch in 2021 due to allegations of infidelity.
Tragically, they lost their first child, Ifeanyi, on October 30, 2022. However, in March 2023, Davido revealed that he and Chioma had officially married. They welcomed twins in the U.S. in October 2023 and held their traditional wedding in June 2024.
Earlier this week, the couple arrived in Florida on a private jet adorned with welcome flowers and a chair labeled ‘MRS’ for the white wedding. The music star recently disclosed that the highly anticipated event cost over $3.7 million, and Chioma has also shared why she agreed to marry the singer.
