Award winning Nigerian singer, Rema, has joined the roster of global celebrities owning property at One by Binghatti, a prestigious residential development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Binghatti Developers announced the acquisition in a statement shared via Instagram on Monday, describing the Afrobeats star as the latest global icon to become a homeowner in the luxury complex.

The official signing ceremony was held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and was led by Abdullah Binghatti, the company’s chief sales officer, alongside members of its top management.

“Binghatti proudly announces global singer and songwriter Rema as the newest homeowner at One by Binghatti,” the company said.

The deputy chief sales officer also shared a video from the event, welcoming the artiste.

“Another global icon joins the Binghatti legacy. Welcome home, Rema,” he wrote.

Rema’s new home is located in Dubai’s Business Bay, and a five-minute drive from the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

Born Divine Ikubor, Rema signed with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019.

His hit song ‘Calm Down’, featuring Selena Gomez, won the first ‘Best Afrobeats’ category at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in 2023.

Rema’s sophomore album ‘HeIs‘ set the record for the biggest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria in 2024.

‘HeIs’ was also nominated for ‘Best Global Music Album’ at the 2025 Grammys but lost to Matt B’s ‘Alkebulan II’.

At the 16th Headies, he won the ‘Best Male Artiste’ and ‘Digital Artiste of the Year’ awards.
