Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido recently held a high-level meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The 32-year-old award-winning singer, whose real name is David Adeleke, shared photos from the encounter on his social media platforms on Thursday evening.
The images, taken at the historic Élysée Palace, showed Davido posing with Macron, while others captured the two engaged in a lively conversation.
Also present at the meeting were members of Davido’s team, including his manager Asa Asika and celebrity bartender Cubana Chief Priest, who were photographed alongside the French president.
Reflecting on the engagement, Davido said they exchanged ideas aimed at fostering global progress.
“It was an honour meeting @EmmanuelMacron and sharing our visions for a better world,” he wrote.
The meeting came just days after the Osun State Government appointed Davido as chairman of the Osun Sports Trust Fund — an initiative created to mobilize resources for the transformation and sustainable development of the state’s sports sector.
Kola Adewusi, the state’s deputy governor and commissioner for sports, explained that the appointment aligns with Governor Ademola Adeleke’s plan to upgrade the Osogbo Township Stadium to Olympic standards.
He added that Davido’s international influence will help attract private-sector investments and sponsorships into Osun State’s sports ecosystem.
