Popular Nigerian comedian, skit creator, and social media personality Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has reportedly been hospitalised after sustaining an alleged gunshot injury in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.
Reports say the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon under the Sango-Ota bridge while the entertainer was filming a comedy skit alongside members of his production team.
A police source revealed that Broda Shaggi was injured during the shoot, although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. He was immediately taken to Blooming Care Hospital where he received initial treatment.
He was later transferred to Duchess International Hospital in the Government Residential Area of Ikeja, where he is currently said to be recovering.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that the hospital alerted authorities after a gunshot victim was brought in. Officers who responded reportedly found the comedian lying on a stretcher with an injury to his thigh.
Police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi explained that although the incident occurred in Sango-Ota, which falls outside the jurisdiction of the Lagos command, investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command said the matter has not yet been officially reported within the state.
