Nollywood actress and producer Laide Bakare has announced that she is set to tie the knot again, marking her third marriage.
In a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, the movie star said this would be her first “official” marriage, despite having gone through two failed ones.
“I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she said.
The actress revealed that preparations for her wedding are already in progress.
She, however, did not disclose the date of the ceremony or the identity of her fiancé.
Laide Bakare has been married twice. Her first marriage was to US-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she has a daughter, Simi. After their separation, she remarried Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, and the union produced two sons.
However, she later left the marriage after Orilowo was reportedly declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in 2014 over alleged fraud.
In a previous interview on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, Laide Bakare stated that she is open to getting married up to five times if her earlier marriages do not work out.
