Former Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem housemate, Tacha Akide, has opened up about her love life and the qualities she desires in a partner.
The reality TV star and influencer made this known during an appearance on the Morayo Afolabi show, where she spoke about relationships and the challenges of finding love while in the public eye.
Tacha disclosed that she is currently in a relationship but has chosen to keep it private until there is a stronger commitment.
She explained that while there is someone she likes, she would rather not publicly define the relationship until there is a ring involved.
“Well, there’s something I like, but if there’s no ring, are you going to come and say I’m in a relationship? I would say that he’s somebody I like, but who knows? I could be on the show next week and say I’m not in a relationship, break up and come back, but for now I’m in a relationship,” she said.
The beautician said her decision to remain private is partly to shield herself from the public scrutiny that often follows celebrity breakups.
According to her, relationships can also provide much-needed companionship in the entertainment industry, which she described as lonely despite the glamour and success.
“In this industry, you need that one person because it is always lonely at the top,” she stated.
Speaking about her ideal partner, Tacha said she prefers quiet and reserved men who become more expressive and outspoken when they are around her.
“Wow, I love very quiet guys. I want you to be very talky around me, very outspoken around me, but outside maintain steeze, somebody that keeps to himself, an amazing hardworking guy and also need to love God as much I do,” she said.
She further revealed that she would rather not date a man who is overly concerned about his appearance, saying she wants to be the more attractive one in the relationship while also expecting financial stability from her partner.
“Please I don’t like beautiful man, I should be the very fine one and then have money too so I will not be managing your roller coaster of emotions,” she added.
