Residents were thrown into confusion in the early hours of Saturday after a generator went up in flames at the new home of popular TikTok creator, Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, nearly resulting in a serious incident.
He shared a video of the incident on his Instagram page, captioning it, “This happened early this morning.”
“My new generator almost burnt down my new house, but God saved us, it took us over 30 minutes to off the fire. All I can say is God saved us”.
In the now-viral video, Peller could be heard repeatedly shouting “Jesus!” as flames burst out from the generator, causing alarm among those inside the house.
Amid the chaos, he urged people around him to quickly pour water on the generator in a bid to put out the fire before it spread to other parts of the building.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday.
Fortunately, the fire was contained before it could cause any structural damage, with only the generator affected.
No injuries or casualties were reported, as all occupants of the house were confirmed safe.
