Tiwa Savage speaks on challenges in music industry

Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has described the music industry as “full of darkness” while reflecting on the challenges she faces as an artist.

During a livestream with fans, she voiced her frustration over critics who questioned her album’s potential due to the absence of major collaborations or party anthems.

She emphasized the value of staying true to her artistic identity and credited her resilience to her faith and the unwavering support of her team.

Despite the hurdles, Tiwa Savage affirmed her resolve to keep creating meaningful music that reflects her artistry.

Savage said, “My Alpha and Omega, this industry is filled with so much darkness. I wish you guys knew So much but I Thank God that I’ve just kept my eyes on him. I haven’t fallen When I put out the track list, I saw so many people saying ah She doesn’t have this person she’s not featuring that person she doesn’t have Big names from America.

“She doesn’t have this. She doesn’t have A-listers And they’ve just automatically concluded that because I don’t have that on the album It’s not gonna be good Like wow, I Wish people understood music the way I understand music Yeah, I don’t have Huge cosigns, I don’t and I wasn’t actively seeking huge cosigns All I have is all I have, isn’t it?
