Nigerian fashion designer Sasha Design has stirred massive reactions online after unveiling one of the most controversial and attention-grabbing outfits seen at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
According to posts shared on her Instagram page, more than 37 live chickens were allegedly used to create the dramatic red carpet look, instantly making it a viral topic across social media platforms. Videos and photos from the event showed the birds attached around the outfit as the model made appearances, leaving many guests stunned.
While some fashion lovers praised the outfit as bold, creative, and fearless, others criticised it, questioning the treatment of the animals and whether the fashion statement went too far.
The outfit has since become one of the biggest talking points from this year’s AMVCA, with social media users divided between calling it “genius art” and “pure excess.”
