[TRENDING VIDEO] Olamide defends yoruba culture at ‘Ose Dudu’ film screening

Nigerian rapper Olamide has spoken in defence of Yoruba culture and traditions during the private screening of Sotayo Gaga’s Yoruba movie, Ose Dudu, at The Pod by Nile Luxury Cinemas.

Dressed in a colourful adire outfit, the rapper addressed the audience, insisting that Yoruba culture should not be portrayed negatively or associated with diabolism.

“Our culture and tradition is not diabolical and it is not to be demonized. And we’re proud of who we are.”

The film, featuring Bimbo Akintola, explores the relationship between modern ambitions and traditional beliefs through a cautionary tale centred on black soap. It is available on Sotayo Gaga’s YouTube channel.

Clips of Olamide’s remarks have since circulated online, with fans applauding his support for Yoruba identity and cultural heritage.
