Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has opened up about losing a pregnancy of almost four months while working on a movie set, revealing that Pastor Bolaji Idowu provided her with both spiritual and financial assistance during the difficult period.
Abraham shared the experience at the Bestie Jesu Concert 2026, which took place in Lagos on Saturday.
Recounting the incident, the actress said she was on set when she suffered the miscarriage, describing the experience as emotionally devastating.
“I was 4 months, but I lost it. But guess what, I was filming, so I was down,” she said.
Abraham explained that she initially hesitated to tell her parents about the loss, particularly because of her mother’s age.
“I didn’t want to call my parents; you know how it is that you don’t want to… my parents, my mom is old, and I didn’t want to call my mom,” Abraham stated.
She said she first informed her husband, who was away from her at the time, before contacting Pastor Bolaji Idowu of Harvesters International Christian Centre.
“I just told my husband, but that day he was far away, and guess who I called? I just called Pastor Bolaji. He just started praying, and he said, ‘Where are you?’ I said, ‘I’m on my way to the hospital,’” she said.
According to Abraham, she informed the pastor that doctors were preparing to carry out an evacuation procedure. She said the cleric subsequently sent her millions of naira to help settle her medical bills.
“He said, ‘What’s going to happen?’ I said, ‘They want to do an evacuation.’ And Pastor Bolaji sent me millions,” she said.
The actress expressed appreciation to the pastor for his support, saying, “Thank you so much, Pastor Bolaji. God bless you.”
