Afrobeats star Asake was captured in a viral video struggling to get close enough to touch the Black Stone during a pilgrimage in Mecca.
In the circulating clip, the singer, whose real name is Ololade Ahmed, was lifted by people around him in an effort to reach the sacred stone embedded in the Kaaba.
However, the attempt appeared challenging due to the large crowd of pilgrims gathered around the Kaaba, with many worshippers also trying to get near the sacred site.
The video showed the music star surrounded by thousands of worshippers performing prayers and religious rites at the Grand Mosque.
Asake is currently in Mecca, one of Islam’s holiest cities, where thousands of Muslims assemble during the sacred month of Ramadan for prayers and spiritual reflection.
Amid the crowd, the singer was seen wearing a white robe similar to those worn by many pilgrims visiting the holy sites.
Earlier, the Afrobeats star shared a clip on his social media page showing the moment he offered prayers at Raudhatul Jannah, one of the most revered prayer spots in Islam located inside Masjid an-Nabawi.
