The wife of Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry, Pearl Okafor, has spoken about how their relationship began, describing their meeting as a miraculous encounter ordained by God.
The couple recently shared loved-up photos and videos on Instagram, openly celebrating each other.
In an emotional message, Pearl said their marriage was “divinely orchestrated” and not the result of human planning.
“We met by divine orchestration. It was something that would have never happened by human efforts. God actually put us together,” she said.
“He is my sugar daddy. He is my boyfriend. He is my husband. He is my best friend, and he is still my daddy.”
Sharing her expectations for their life together, Pearl said she looks forward to building a family with him.
“I am looking forward to carrying his children. Little versions of him. I want to watch them grow. I want to watch my family bask in God’s glory”.
Okafor also affirmed his certainty about the marriage, saying he never doubted his decision.
“I had no doubt about it. I knew what I wanted and going to. And I am happy,” he said.
The public expression of affection comes amid allegations levelled against the cleric by actress Doris Ogala.
The issue arose after Ogala claimed she had been romantically involved with Okafor since 2017.
Her allegations resurfaced last weekend following the circulation of a video showing Okafor’s engagement to Pearl.
Ogala alleged that she ended her previous marriage at the cleric’s request and accused him of betraying her after years of closeness and promises of marriage.
The actress further revealed that she has struggled with suicidal thoughts and later issued an ultimatum, demanding that Okafor either marry her or financially “settle” her by buying her a house.
Despite the controversy, Chris Okafor and Pearl went ahead with their wedding last Tuesday, with family and friends in attendance, after which Ogala served a pre-action notice on the cleric.
In a letter dated December 16 and addressed to Okafor, Ogala’s lawyer accused him of breaching a promise of marriage and demanded N1 billion in damages.
