Reality TV star Tacha Akide has successfully completed her bid to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the most makeovers by a single artist in 24 hours.
The record attempt was the highlight of day two of the maiden edition of the Tacha Beauty Festival, hosted at the John Randle Centre in Lagos.
Although Akide set out to complete 150 makeovers, she managed 145 transformations within the 24-hour window. The challenge began on October 11.
A video posted on the official Instagram page of the attempt showed the ecstatic moment the timer stopped, with fans cheering as she surpassed the current record.
The current record is held by Sierra Leonean Mary Yongai, who completed 111 makeup applications in 24 hours.
Tacha’s achievement of 145 makeovers is now pending official verification and confirmation by the Guinness World Records (GWR) organisation.
