Nigerian skit maker Sydney Talker has disclosed that he has practised celibacy for the past four years, saying the period allowed him to dedicate time to studying the content creation industry.
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, the 30-year-old content creator said he had not “slept on the same bed with a woman” since July 27, 2022.
“On the 27th of this month, it will make it four years of celibacy for me. Technically, what I’m trying to say is that I have not slept on the same bed with a woman for the last four years,” he said.
“It is not being easy but I thank God, it is not by my power but by His grace.”
Talker explained that his decision was strategic, allowing him to avoid emotional distractions and concentrate on researching the content creation industry.
He said his research had led him to identify solutions that could help content creators achieve greater financial success, warning that “we would never get wealthy” unless certain changes were made.
The skit maker is set to present his findings at a live event titled “Creators Keynote” on July 27.
The event will be streamed simultaneously on his Twitch and YouTube channels.
“In this past four years, I have studied my industry content creation and I have come to a conclusion that if we do not put some things in place now, we would never get wealthy. So, I took out time to study,” he said.
“I stayed away from emotional activities and took out time to study and I found solutions that would really help us as content creators. On the 27th of this month, I would speaking live on stage, and this is a formal invite for you to come listen and join me and we cereate something new and something new for my industry, content creation.
“I would be going live by 1:00PM on the 27th on my Twitch and my Youtube. So pleas, come enjoy me. Thank you.”
