Young Jonn postpones album launch, calls for peace, healing in Nigeria

Afrobeats singer Young Jonn has delayed the release of his much-anticipated album “Blue Disco” in light of the escalating insecurity across the country.

He made the decision in response to the widespread fear, grief, and uncertainty currently affecting Nigerians.

In a message shared on X, Young Jonn conveyed his disappointment and concern over the nation’s ongoing difficulties, describing the insecurity as unbearable and stressing the importance of joint efforts from both leaders and citizens to confront the situation.

He wrote: “It’s disheartening that Nigeria is still confronted with such overwhelming challenges; the insecurity has become unbearable, and it’s very clear that the leaders and we citizens must rise to do better, even as we pray for God’s strength to guide and sustain us through these difficult times. In light of these, I’ve decided to postpone the release of my album BLUE DISCO to a later date”.

The project, originally scheduled to drop on November 21, 2025, includes collaborations with top artists such as Wizkid, Rema, Asake, and Olamide.

Although a new date for “Blue Disco” has not yet been announced, Young Jonn ended with a message of hope for the country.

“Above all, I’m praying for healing across our nation that God restores peace, unity, and hope to Nigeria”, he added.
