Kunu Gyada (also called groundnut kunu) is a popular Northern Nigerian drink made from groundnuts. It’s creamy, nutritious, and good for both adults and children (if prepared hygienically).
Here’s a simple way to prepare it:

2 cups raw groundnuts (peanuts)

4–5 cups water (adjust to desired thickness)

2–3 tablespoons sugar (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla flavor (optional)

A pinch of salt (optional)

Dates (optional, for natural sweetness)

Milk (optional)

1️⃣ Clean and Soak

Pick out stones and bad nuts.

Wash thoroughly.

Soak in water for 4–6 hours (or overnight).
2️⃣ Remove the Skin

Rub the soaked groundnuts between your hands.

Rinse to remove the brown skin.

Drain.
3️⃣ Blend

Add the peeled groundnuts to a blender.

Add dates (if using).

Blend with water until very smooth.
4️⃣ Sieve

Pour through a clean muslin cloth or fine sieve.

Squeeze well to extract the milk.
5️⃣ Sweeten & Flavor

Add sugar, salt, vanilla, or milk if desired.

🍼 For Babies or Toddlers
If giving to a baby:
