Hilda Baci: Hilda Baci successfully set a new Guinness World Record for cooking the largest pot of jollof rice, using 200 bags of rice in a massive 22,619-litre pot.

Tunde Onakoya: Tunde Onakoya has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon, playing non-stop for 64 hours in New York’s Times Square. The feat surpasses the previous record of 61 hours, held by Norwegian players Hallvard Haug Flatebø and Sjur Ferkingstad since June 2024.

Shehu Bamidele: Guinness World Records have officially confirmed Nigerian cue sports player Shehu Bamidele as the new world record holder for the longest marathon playing pool by an individual.

Joshua Olusanya: A member of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Joshua Olusanya, has emerged as the first person to win the Guinness World Record in longest marathon trumpet blowing, which he played for 25 hours, 30 minutes and 36 seconds. He achieved the record in Lagos on May 9, 2025.

George Iniabasi Essien: Nigerian broadcaster George Iniabasi Essien, popularly known as Mighty George, has reached 100 hours in his Guinness World Record attempt for the ‘Longest Talk Show on Radio’. The historic feat was achieved at exactly 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Comfort 95.1FM in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Samson Ajao: 27-year-old Samson Ajao from Osogbo, Nigeria, has performed the world’s longest marathon reading aloud, clocking in at 215 hours – just one hour short of nine full days. The previous record of 124 hours was set in 2022 by Rysbai Isakov (Kyrgyzstan).

Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke:15-year-old autistic Nigerian boy, is officially the holder of the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the largest painting on canvas by an individual. The huge painting, measuring 12,303 square meters, was shown to the public at Eagle Square in Abuja on April 2, which is World Autism Awareness Day.
