Yahaya Bello has obtained the All Progressives Congress nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections to contest the Kogi Central senatorial seat.
The former Kogi governor reportedly received the APC forms on Saturday and is said to have emerged as the party’s consensus candidate for the race.
He is expected to challenge the current senator representing the district, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Bello served two terms as governor of Kogi State before handing over to the incumbent governor, Usman Ododo.
