More than 1,600 delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State are preparing to select the party’s governorship candidate ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Accreditation of delegates was completed by the party’s electoral committee at about 10 a.m., clearing the way for the primary to begin at any time.
A total of 1,660 delegates were chosen for the exercise, based on five delegates from each local government area and the area office in Modakeke.
The venue is already at full capacity, with delegates, observers, security personnel, and INEC officials present.
However, the Chairman of the Primary Committee, the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, along with other party officials from the National Secretariat, has not yet arrived for the exercise.
