APC reveals reason for Dogara’s appointment as NCGC chair

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi’s Dass/Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro Federal Constituency praised President Bola Tinubu’s recent appointment of former Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara.

Keep in mind that Dogara was named Chairman of the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC) by Tinubu.

The group characterised the appointment as excellent, well-deserved, and opportune in a statement signed by Rabiu Garba on behalf of 27 APC stakeholders.

“The appointment of Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara to serve in this administration affirms our testimony that he has remained steadfast with the APC, its stakeholders and his constituents.

“He is never left out in any contribution to promote the party and the progressive agenda,” the statement read.

According to the group, Dogara’s leadership as speaker of the 8th assembly laid the foundation for several legislative reforms.

The APC stakeholders listed the passage of over 300 bills and more than 1,000 resolutions during his stint, including the establishment of the North East Development Commission, NEDC, the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill, PIGB, and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Bill.

The group expressed optimism that Dogara’s experience and integrity would enhance the effectiveness of the NCGC in improving access to credit for small businesses and middle-income earners.
